About me

Maxine Miley is a soon-to-be retired nurse who was born in Columbus, Ohio and still resides there with her two grown, human sons. She also has four fur children, who are clearly her favorites: her beloved pug, Mabel, and her three comical sugar gliders, Luna, Junior, and Winston.  

Since the age of seven, she could be frequently found with her nose in a book.  Her love of reading inspired her to write, which she has been doing for over forty years.

She began her first book, “The Weldling I, The Omen and the Legend”, twenty years ago, and it’s finally ready to publish this fall of 2019.  Talk about breakneck speed!! Hopefully she’ll live long enough to finish the series!! But not to worry, Maxine is in fantastic health and plans to be writing full-time in 2020 so she’ll definitely be picking up the pace. Stay tuned, it won’t be long until “The Omen and the Legend” is released.

Currently, Maxine has recently finished a novella entitled “Banshee,” which is currently on sale on Kindle.  She is also working on the second installment of The Weldling Series, “The Weldling II, The Knight and the Sparrow,” which should be finished in fall of 2021.

Maxine dreams of retiring to a large plot of land in the country, where she can care for the many animals that she would like to someday rescue.  Giving animals, who love us unconditionally, the best life possible is an extremely important part of Maxine’s life. Maxine also dreams often about her teeth falling out.
